There is a lockdown to protect against coronavirus in the capital Delhi. But the people of Delhi are not taking the lockdown seriously. According to Delhi Police, 1,012 cases have been registered so far for violating it from various areas of the national capital on the first day of lockdown.

Talking to the media about this matter, a police officer said that most of these cases have been registered under Section 188 of the IPC and Delhi Police Act. A Delhi Police spokesperson said that 'Out of the total cases filed, 100 cases have been registered in various police stations under Section 188 of the IPC. While 475 were registered under section 65 of Delhi Police Act and 323 under section 66 of Delhi Police Act.

In its statement, the police said that '801 cases have been registered under the Delhi Police Act. Among the 15 districts, the maximum 29 cases were registered under Section 188 in the South-East District. The maximum number of 211 cases were registered in this district under the Delhi Police Act.
