New Delhi: The Delhi Metro has already geared up in view of the huge crowd forecast on Raksha Bandhan. DMRC has installed extra manpower at every station on the day of Rakshabandhan. At the same time, elaborate arrangements have also been made for the frequency and timing of trains. The festival of Raksha Bandhan is to be celebrated across the country on Thursday i.e. August 11, 2022. On this day, sisters tie the Raksha sutra on their brother's wrist.  

According to the Delhi Metro, in the past years too, the Delhi Metro has experienced a huge rush of passengers on the day of Raksha Bandhan. Therefore, the Delhi Metro has made preparations in advance this time, so that passengers do not face any problems due to the increased crowd on Raksha Bandhan day. The Delhi Metro said that 169 additional ticket office machines will be installed in DMRC's network. At the same time, 65 customer facilitation agents have been deployed. The goal of all this is to take full care of the convenience of the passengers on the day of the festival. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has said that standby trains will be available on all lines except Airport Line and Line 9. With this, trains will be able to reach the stations faster in the event of increasing congestion. At the same time, the movement of passengers will be easier.  

On the day of Rakshabandhan, people go to their relatives' places in Delhi-NCR in big statistics. In such a situation, Delhi Metro is an important means of transport and hence DMRC has made special preparations for it. In view of the increasing speed of Corona, The Delhi Metro has urged all passengers to wear masks. In the last 24 hours, 2,146 new cases of corona have been reported in Delhi. While 8 people have died. At present, there are 8,205 active cases of corona in Delhi, while the positivity rate has reached 17.83 per cent.
