The services of the metro, which is called the lifeline of the public in Delhi, India, has been closed for the last five months. Due to the closure of the operation, there has been an economic disaster on the metro. There seems to be a situation of confrontation between the Center's Narendra Modi and Delhi's Arvind Kejriwal government over the loss and loan on the metro.

After the situation created due to the lockdown, the Metro management had sought financial support from the Central Government. The loan was cited behind this aid, but the Central Government has refused to provide financial assistance, citing it as the responsibility of the state government. After this, a situation of confrontation is being created between the Central and State Governments.

According to media reports, Delhi Deputy Manish Sisodia has said that 'alone is not our responsibility to recover the debt from the metro and recover the losses. There is an increase in the fare of the metro, then the central government does not even ask us. When it comes to deciding the board in the board, the central government does not even take the opinion of the state government. Not only this, the corridor has to be approved, even then we are not heard, so why should we pay the money alone. Whereas all decisions related to Metro are taken by the Central Government. At the same time, the services of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) were stopped in the lockdown to prevent the spread of epidemic corona infection. Due to this closure, the economic disaster on the metro deepened.
