New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) won the award for "Best Passenger Service and Satisfaction" in urban transportation.

"We are delighted to inform you that the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has conferred the 'Award for Excellence in Urban Transport' on Delhi Metro in the category 'Metro Rail with the Best Passenger Services and Satisfaction," the DMRC tweeted on Friday night.

Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri presented the award to DMRC Managing Director Mangu Singh at the 14th Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference 2021 in Delhi. "On behalf of DMRC, I am very pleased and proud to accept this award for Metro Rail with the best passenger services and satisfaction at MoHUA's 14th Urban Mobility India awards. The core of Arvind Kejriwal's governance model has always been public satisfaction and safety "Kailash Gahlot, the Delhi Transport Minister, sent out a tweet.

 

 

The Centre on Friday presented Delhi with the award for excellence in urban transportation in the "Best Non-Motorized Transport" category for its Chandni Chowk redevelopment project.
