New Delhi: East Delhi Municipal Corporation has terminated the membership of Tahir Hussain, the prime accused in Delhi riots and suspended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councillor. In the meeting of East Delhi Municipal Corporation on Wednesday, a resolution was passed to end the membership of Tahir Hussain. After which the information about the cancellation of membership was made public on Thursday. BJP has welcomed this action taken on Tahir Hussain.

The East Delhi Municipal Corporation has issued a statement saying that Councilor Tahir Hussain, from ward number 59, was absent in the house meeting held from January to July without informing. According to the rules, membership can be terminated in the case of absence in three meetings of the House without being informed. On this basis, the Municipal Corporation has decided to cancel its membership.

Manoj Tiwari, Member of Parliament from North-East Delhi, has called the cancellation of membership of Tahir Hussain a victory of the people. He said that MSD ended the membership of Tahir Hussain, the mastermind of Delhi riots. Now LG is requested to make public his terrible preparations for the riots and their call details. So that people of all communities should be alert to such people to deal with riots in future.
