New Delhi: The closure of the court due to the global epidemic coronavirus has put most lawyers in a huge financial crisis. The Bar Council of Delhi has written a letter to PM Modi seeking the assistance of Rs 500 crore for lawyers from the Continuity Fund or PM Care Fund.

Bar Council of Delhi Chairman KC Mittal has said in a letter to PM Modi that there are more than one lakh lawyers in Delhi and NCR. Their economic situation has deteriorated significantly after the outbreak of the Corona epidemic. He has written in the letter that the lawyers are not able to meet even their basic needs, because the court is closed due to Corona and they are not able to get out of the house. Lawyers have become helpless. The National Disaster Management Authority has declared the coronavirus a disaster. The courts have been closed because of the Corona epidemic. Due to this, the income of lawyers is also closed.

It is further written in the letter that it is not known how long this situation will last and lawyers are constantly facing difficulties. The position of lawyers is worrying. They are locked in the house without working for 4 months. The Bar Council of Delhi has given him 8 crores for financial help. But it is insufficient.
