New Delhi: With the ongoing cold wave in Delhi-NCR, fog and severe cold continue across North India. The Meteorological Department has expressed the hope of increasing the cold of the winter due to rain and hail. A senior scientist of India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Thursday that there will be drizzle from January 2 to 6 in Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan.
He further said that hail is also likely to fall in Delhi, Western UP, Haryana, Punjab and East Rajasthan on January 4 to 5. Giving information about the weather in the capital, Jainamani said that Delhi will receive rain on 3rd, 4th and 5th January. The temperature will reach 10–12 ° C by 4–5 January.
According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, the visibility reduced to just 50 meters due to dense fog in Delhi on Thursday morning and the minimum temperature also reached 3.3 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest temperature of this season. Kuldeep Srivastava, head of the meteorological department's regional forecast centre, said that cold wave continued in the city for the third consecutive day.
