The highest pollution is due to transport in the national capital of Delhi. At the same time, Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal has the lowest level of pollution. It has been revealed in a research report. The Center for Science and Environment (CSE) has released the report after studying 14 cities in the country. The cities which CSE has studied include Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kochi, Bhopal, Vijayawada and Chandigarh.

According to the report, particulate matter, nitrogen oxide and heat-trapping carbon dioxide emitting from vehicles are harming the environment. It has been reported in the report that 47% of Bhopal has the highest share of cycling and pedestrian. This report has been released in the seminar organized in Kolkata with the title Urban Commute. CSE executive director Anumita Roy Chowdhury insisted on the need to reduce clean transport and carbon emissions and urged the cities to form a policy for this.

Chowdhury said, "We should keep the public environment clean, with emphasis on cycling and walking. Pollution is spreading through the greenhouse gases coming out of private vehicles. People should understand this." According to the report, Delhi's position is the most useless. The pollution from transport is highest. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide emissions have polluted the city's air.

In the case of clean transport, Kolkata is in a better position. Kolkata and Mumbai have the highest number of government transport in 6 major cities of the country. Despite this, there is less pollution than transportation here. Delhi is the third such city with the highest government transport. Here in air pollution, the number of private and government vehicles and long distance trips are the highest. Because of this, transport is the most polluted here.

Toxic carbon and nitrogen oxide emissions lowest in Bhopal There is a 60 kg toxic emission every day. In Delhi, it is more than 1200 kg. Compared to Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, there are two to three crore more transport in Delhi every day. It has been said in the report that BS-5 petrol and diesel should be used in Bhopal. Currently, BS-4 petrol is being used here. If the use of CNG in vehicles is started here, the level of pollution will be reduced.
