New Delhi: If you do not put a mask on the streets of Delhi, you can be fined from 500 to 1000. If the physical distance is not followed, spit on the roads, then a lawsuit can also be filed with the challan. Even after all these warnings, Delhiites seem oblivious to this. That is why challans are being cut every day in violation of rules of lockdown and not applying masks.

After the new rules are implemented in the capital, sub-inspector level officials will be able to deduct the challan of those who do not apply masks, those who do not follow the rules of social distancing, spitting on the streets and violating the Quarantine rules. There is a provision of registering a case of Rs. 500 in the first time, 1000 rupees in the second time, and if the challan is not filled, then section 188 of the IPC.

Despite such strict rules, the people of Delhi are seen to be lax in compliance. According to a TOI report, in the last nearly three and a half months, Delhi Police has imposed a fine of Rs 2.4 crore from those who break the rules of masks. However, in addition to fine recovery, the police have also distributed masks to thousands of people and spread awareness to take precautions.
