New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested four accused of cheating in the name of getting loans. Surprisingly, police have recovered 9 mobiles as well as a wireless set from their possession. One woman is among the four accused in police custody. The accused have been identified as Arun Kumar, Sunil, Himanshu Maheshwari, and Anjali Tomar. In fact, on December 22, a young man named Shahnawaz complained to the cyber police station in the southeast district that he needed a loan and had inquired at a couple of places. In the meantime, he received a call that he would be given a loan. This was followed by a registration fee, sometimes 85,000 online transfers in the name of a loan processing fee. But even then he did not get any loans.

The accused then stopped picking up his calls when the victim started calling repeatedly. The cyber police station registered an FIR in the case and immediately started an investigation. The police started scanning the details of the bank account in which the money was transferred. Based on all the investigation suo-how and technical evidence, the police came to know about an address in the Raghuveer Nagar area. When the police team reached the address in the Raghuveer Nagar area, the police noticed that a complete fake call center was running there. Two people named Arun and Sunil were present at the call center at the time. When the police questioned the men, it was found that there was a man named Himanshu who provided the account in which fraudulently earned money was deposited.

When the police approached Himanshu and arrested him, it was found that a woman named Anjali was also involved in the entire work. After which the police also nabbed Anjali. Police have also seized 9 mobile phones, a laptop, and a wireless set from all of them. In the interrogation, the accused told the police that they used to collect information from a website about people who needed a loan. He would then call them directly and trick them into getting loans, and then try to cheat them as much money as possible. Police are now trying to find out how much money the accused have cheated so far.
