New Delhi: Delhi Police has busted a thief gang. Bangladeshi national Shahadat Khan is said to be the leader. According to media reports, Shahadat used to send his wife as a maid to houses. Then he collected all the information about the goods kept in the house and carried out the crime there. It has also been revealed that Shahadat used to travel by plane from one state to another.

Delhi Police has arrested him after stopping a flight to Bengaluru. Police said four of his associates have also been caught. They have been identified as Subhan alias Sonu, Shaheen, Javed Ali and Vijay Kumar from Delhi. A large quantity of gold, silver, cash, watches and mobiles have been recovered from them. Javed and Vijay reportedly used to buy stolen goods. Shahadat lived in slums in Seemapuri, Delhi. According to media reports, Shahadat and Shaheen used to deliver their wives as maids into rich houses.

Their wives assessed the household's financial situation there. The location of the money and products was fully unguarded. The remainder of the gang members used to establish targets based on the information they gave. The majority of the vacant houses were targeted. The theft took place late at night. If members were present in a residence when it was awakened, they would kidnap them. Salma, Shahadat's wife, and Shaheen's wife have not yet been apprehended.
