According to Central District Police officials, the elderly lived in Bapa Nagar in Karol Bagh. His corona test report came positive 8 days ago. Other members of the elderly family are also corona positive. Two members are hospitalized. The elderly man died on Saturday night at around 8 o'clock. The concerned agencies were informed about this. Information was also given to the DM and SDM concerned, but no agency took cognizance. The dead body of the elderly stayed at home all night. When no agency reached the dead body, the family took cremation grounds to perform the last rites of the dead on Sunday morning. The pyre was set on fire. Meanwhile, someone gave information to the police. The police reached the spot and extinguished the burning pyre and took the body in possession.
