Farmer Movement: Delhi Police vacates Buradi Ground, 15 farmers in custody

New Delhi: Since the violence during the tractor parade on the occasion of Republic Day, Delhi Police has come into action mode. Police has started action against farmers in the case. After giving notice to the accused farmer leaders, a large number of police forces are deployed. Two days after the violence, the stir has again intensified on the Ghazipur border adjoining Delhi. The protesting farmers from other dharnas have dispersed.

In this sequence, on Thursday, Delhi Police also evacuated the DDA Ground at Burari. For the last about two months, some farmers were sitting on the protest here. From the very beginning of the agitation against agricultural laws, the police had been requesting the farmers to withdraw from the streets. The farmers, who were opposing the new agricultural laws, were insisting on going to Ramlila Maidan on the Singhu and Tikri border. The Delhi Police had allowed them to agitate on coming to the DDA ground under the agreement.

It was at the behest of the police that these farmers came here leaving the streets. Farmers were living here for almost two months, but gradually their number was decreasing. After the order of the police, 30 farmers from here shifted to Singhu border. the police have taken 15 farmers on January 26 as a precaution in custody for suspicion of violence. The police is investigating them and investigating the matter.
