New Delhi: A case of the son of a Delhi Police ASI shot dead in South West Delhi's Chhawla area has come to light. According to Delhi Police officials, Najafgarh residents Bhupendra and Anita have been arrested in connection with the incident. According to police, the 29-year-old son of Delhi police's assistant sub-inspector was shot dead on Wednesday over a money dispute. A senior official said police reached the spot at Premnagar in Najafgarh and found Paprawat resident Takesh dead on the first floor of a house.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Shankar Chaudhary said that the body was lying in a pool of blood on the first floor near the stairs and the deceased was shot in the forehead. He also said that footage was scanned from all CCTV cameras in the area and teams were deployed to nab the accused persons. A case under sections 302, 120B and 34 of the IPC has been registered at Chhawla police station on the complaint of an eyewitness. While police sources said a postmortem of the body of the deceased has been conducted at Rao Tularam Memorial Hospital.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Shankar Chaudhary said that during the investigation, the eyewitness was questioned and footage was scanned CCTV the vicinity after which the two accused were arrested. Police inquiries revealed that ASI's son Takesh had borrowed Rs 2,000 from Anita and the two were asking Takesh to return the money with huge interest. The accused took Takesh to the house of a man named Anil who shot him dead. However, Anil and Vikas are yet to be arrested in the case for which police teams are conducting continuous raids.
