New Delhi: Former Delhi Chief Minister Saheb Singh Verma's village Mundka has been rocked by waterlogging problems. In fact, local residents, who had been disturbed for several months, sat on dharna on the National Highway leading to the Tikri border near Mundka metro station today, Monday morning. On the other hand, their seating on dharna led to a jam of about 15 km on the Delhi-Haryana National Highway (Rohtak Road).

Under the information received, passersby are facing problems due to dharna and jam. People who left for their offices here in the morning are still stranded. On the other hand, the protesters here are adamant about the demand for concrete assurance from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Let me tell all of you that the people sitting on this dharna are sitting under the leadership of Azad Singh, brother of former Chief Minister Verma and former Mayor. The list also includes a large number of women.

On the other hand, in view of the heavy road jams, Delhi Traffic Police has closed the roads on both sides and started diverting traffic. At the same time, senior police officials are talking to the villagers and trying to resolve the matter. Let us tell you that at present traffic on both sides has been stopped due to demonstrations under Mundka metro station in Delhi. Traffic has been diverted from Nangloi water tank to Najafgarh and from Ghewara bend to Kanjhawala.
