Sagar Rana murder case: Delhi court extends Sushil Kumar custody by 14 days

New Delhi: Two-time Olympic medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar's troubles in the Wrestler Sagar Rana murder case are mounting. Sushil Kumar has been charged with murder, culpable homicide not amounting to murder and kidnapping. Police have described Sushil Kumar as the "main accused and gangster" of the incident. Meanwhile, sushil kumar's judicial custody has been extended by 14 days on Friday, June 11.

According to rohini court order, Sushil Kumar will remain in jail till June 25. So far, 10 accused including Sushil Kumar have been arrested in the Sagar Rana murder case. Sushil Kumar Mandoli is lodged in jail. A day earlier, the Delhi Police Crime Branch had arrested another associate of Sushil Kumar, Anirudh, in connection with the assault at Chhatrasal Stadium. Wrestler Sagar Rana was killed in an incident of assault at Chhatrasal Stadium. Two of his friends were also injured.

A senior police official said the accused Anirudh was involved in the assault incident. He was arrested from Delhi on Thursday. Sushil and his associates had assaulted wrestler Sagar Rana alias Sagar Dhankhar and his two friends Sonu and Amit Kumar on the night of May 4 and 5 over a property dispute. After which Sagar died.
