Lalu's daughter Mesa accused of converting black money to white, Court to hear today

Patna: A hearing will be held on Saturday in Delhi's Rause Avenue Court against Misa Bharti, daughter of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, and her husband Shailesh Kumar in a money laundering case. Earlier in the last hearing, ED had filed a fresh supplementary chargesheet against Misa Bharti and her husband. The court can take cognisance of the supplementary chargesheet today. In fact, Misa Bharati and her husband are accused of whitening the Rs 8,000 crore black money.

A Delhi-based farmhouse has already been seized in a money laundering case against Mesa and Shailesh. The court had handed over the investigation to the Enforcement Directorate. Mesa and her husband are also accused of whitening black money in association with businessmen Surendra Jain and Virendra Jain.

For information, the case is related with money laundering worth Rs 8,000 crore. The matter was heard in 2018. During the hearing of the case, CBI Special Judge Arvind Kumar had issued a muscle warrant against another accused Santosh Jha. The case was also heard on June 4, 2018. Misa Bharti and her husband are accused of whitening the Rs 8,000 crore black money.
