New Delhi: Monkeypox has hit India. After Kerala, the government and administration have now been alerted after the monkeypox cases were reported in Delhi. Strictures have also been initiated to prevent the infection of monkeypox. The Indira Gandhi International Airport in the national capital has also started a crackdown in view of the monkeypox threat.

According to media reports, passengers arriving at Delhi's international airport will now be sent to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital (LNJP) with symptoms of monkeypox. PTI quoting sources said that passengers coming by international flights who are found to have symptoms like high fever, back pain, and joint pain will be shifted to the isolation ward of LNJP Hospital.

A 20-member special team has been deployed for this type of patient at LNJP Hospital. A health team has been deployed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport to check suspected corona patients. There is no decision yet on whether the number of doctors and health tests at airports will be increased after the WHO declared a health emergency over monkeypox.
