New Delhi: There has been news of a fierce fire in the Tughlakabad area of Delhi, the capital of the country. Due to the fire, around 1500 slums have been completely burnt to ashes and hundreds of people have become homeless. However, no injuries have been reported in this accident. According to the fire department, the fire was reported around 12:50 pm.

As soon as the fire was reported, 28 fire engines were sent on the spot, but on seeing the fire spread in the area of 2 acres. The police and fire department took out all the people living in the slum on time. Most people were sleeping since it was late at night. However, it is a matter of honor that no one was injured in this accident. The fire was controlled at around 3:40 am, but by then around 1,500 slums had been gutted and hundreds of people were left homeless. At present, the government is assessing the damage caused by fire.

Talking to the media, DCP Rajendra Prasad Meena of South East Delhi has told that, "We received a fire notification at around 1 in the night. To control the fire, 18-20 fire engines were deployed. No casualties have been reported. "
