New Delhi: From Wednesday (October 5) in the country's capital Delhi, it has been predicted that there will be light rain with a cloudy sky for the next four-five days. This can help in controlling the air quality and temperature in the city. Delhi's Safdarjung Observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 23.8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday morning. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 34 degree Celsius.

At the same time, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 195 at 10 am. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a low-pressure area is persisting over the west-central Bay of Bengal. Mahesh Palawat, Vice-Chairman, Meteorology and Climate Change Division in Skymet Weather, has said that due to this condition, Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) are expected to receive rain between October 5 and 10.

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in the country's capital on October 10-11 as well. Palawat informed that due to the easterly wind direction, the impact of stubble burning in Haryana and Punjab will be less in the national capital as favourable wind speed and rain will remove the pollutants.
