The minimum temperature was recorded at eight degrees Celsius above normal.

With this, the MET department has issued a yellow alert for the next two days amidst severe cold wave conditions in the capital. Today i.e. on Tuesday, the maximum temperature is likely to be 16 and the minimum temperature will be 7 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, within the next three days, the minimum temperature will drop to six degrees Celsius and the severe winter season will increase. The MET department says, there is no possibility of getting relief from the severe cold till the last days of January. The minimum temperature will remain at eight degrees Celsius till January 30. There are also chances of rain in some states.
