It is worth mentioning here that even after the monsoon hit Delhi on July 5, there has not been a good rainfall so far. Delhi has recorded 77 per cent less rainfall so far due to the absence of rain clouds. The Safdarjung Centre has recorded 0.4 mm of rain in the past 24 hours. Usually 49 mm of rain occurs in the ten days of July. The delayed arrival of monsoon is affecting the rain.

Kuldeep Srivastava, head of the regional weather forecasting centre, said that the monsoon trough has moved towards the lower reaches of the Himalayas. Due to this, there is a possibility of good rainfall in the higher and lower reaches of the Himalayas. However, Delhi is less likely to receive rain. Light rain is expected after July 15. However, strong winds will continue from the north-west direction. The effect of not raining is also visible at temperature.
