New Delhi: Supreme Court put a fine of Rs. 25,000 on Delhi's Health Minister Satyendra Jain of the Aam Aadmi Party, as he failed to submit a list of government officials, for whom he claimed that they have not Collaborated with him on handling chikungunya and dengue cases in the capital.

With the National Capital struggled with around 8,000 cases of the mosquito-borne chikungunya and dengue, Health Minister alleged, in his response to the court that officials were hampering his attempts to restrain the viral diseases, and in its place were sending files to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

Supreme Court on Friday, directed the Satyendra Jain to give the list of names of the officers, who are not cooperating with him, and said, “You have made a serious allegation in your affidavit. Who are the officials disobeying you? People in Delhi are suffering from dengue and chikungunya. You cannot treat them like this." “The Delhi government need not give it the names of the officials in sealed cover”, added Court.
