Ranchi: Amid the Shraddha murder case of Delhi, a shocking incident has come to light from Jharkhand. Here on Monday, a man stabbed his fiancee 25 times in the chest to death. Both of them had decided to get married 5 months ago, but all their dreams were shattered in a moment. The heinous incident of the murder of the girl took place in Saruda village of Simdega district. On Monday evening, criminal Arvind Kujur killed his fiance Genevibha Tirkey, a resident of Kurdeg, in this village under the Basia police station area. The incident created a sensation in the village and surrounding areas. The cause of the murder is yet to be ascertained.

The deceased Genevibha was working as a GNM in Sadar Hospital Simdega. She had been staying in the house of relative Teejan Ekka, who lives in Saruda, for the past one-and-a-half months. According to the police, she was engaged to Arvind Kujur five months ago. He used to visit Saruda often to meet Genevibha. On Monday too, he had reached Ekka's house to meet Genevibha around 4 pm.  

Arvind attacked Genevibha with a knife as soon as he reached Ekka's house. Arvind attacked her 25 times in her chest one after the other and fled from there. Hearing the screams of Genevibha, Teejan Ekka reached there and tried to rescue her, due to which Teejan also suffered injuries on her hand. In a serious condition, Genvibha was taken to a hospital in Basia, but the doctors there declared her dead. Basia police reached the hospital and sent the body to Sadar Hospital Gumla for post-mortem. According to Genevibha's family sources, in the past too, criminal Arvind used to argue and beat up the fiance. Genevibha's parents died in her childhood. She was raised by her uncle. Her brutal murder has left the family in mourning.
