Porsche has commenced customer deliveries of the Taycan electric vehicle, which was launched in India late last year (EV). The Porsche Taycan, the brand's first-ever electric vehicle, was released in India at a price of Rs. 1.50 crore to compete with models from Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, and BMW.

The first Taycan Turbo EV was presented to a customer from the Porsche Centre Delhi-NCR in the sparkling Green Mamba Metallic colour. The Taycan comes with the recognisable Club Leather Interior Olea in Truffle Brown, which adds to the overall appeal. It comes in four saloon models: the Taycan, Taycan 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S, as well as the Cross Turismo, which comes in 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S variants.

Because it is the most powerful sports vehicle in the Porsche lineup, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S is sure to get the most attention. It has a massive 761 PS and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.8 seconds. The Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo with overboost produces 761 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.

The entry-level Taycan with rear-wheel drive, however, claims to give up to 484 kilometres per charge with Performance Battery Plus (according to WLTP). The entry-level model generates up to 300kW (408 PS) in overboost mode with Launch Control with the basic single-deck 79.2 kWh Performance Battery, which jumps to 350kW (476 PS) with the optional two-deck 93.4 kWh Performance Battery Plus.
