Beyond Bengaluru and Chennai, Ola Electric plans to expand its delivery network. Customers in locations such as Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Visakhapatnam, among others, will be able to order the S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters starting next week.

Ola Electric's CEO and co-founder, Bhavish Aggarwal, made the news. "To answer the most often asked question, yes, deliveries are underway," he added. It's great to see customers enjoying their Ola scooters. Last week, I was in Bangalore and Chennai. This week and next, Vizag, Pune, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and many other cities will be visited."

After a nearly four-month wait since its August 15 launch, Ola Electric began shipping its S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters earlier this month on December 16. The EV maker held special celebrations in Bengaluru and Chennai for the first 100 customers who took their electric scooters home.

Ola Electric only opened the scooter buying window for two days in September. The electric vehicle manufacturer launched the country's largest-ever direct-to-consumer experience project last month, providing test rides around the country.

Ola Electric scooters are available in two models: S1 and S1 Pro. The former is priced at 1 lakh, while the latter is priced at 1.30 lakh (ex showroom, before state subsidies). While the S1 model claims to travel 121 kilometres, the S1 Pro boasts of a range of roughly 180 kilometres before requiring recharging.

Normal, Sport, and Hyper are the three ride modes available on Ola e-scooters. It has a huge display screen with an Android-based operating system, app control, speakers, a USB charging port, and a lot of storage capacity under the seat.Ola Electric manufactures its electric scooters in a plant in Tamil Nadu named Futurefactory. The Ola Futurefactory, which covers 500 acres of land, plans to produce 20 lakh electric scooters per year in the first phase. The factory was completed in a record-breaking six months and employs around 10,000 women-only workers.
