New Delhi: The new variant of corona virus is slowly spreading its legs Omicron. One patient has also died of Omicron in the UK. WHO and scientists are constantly alerting people about this variant. Dr. Paul Burton, chief medical officer of the Moderna vaccine, has now issued a new warning on the new variant of corona. Dr Paul says that if Omicron and delta infect someone at the same time, it is estimated to create a new super-variant.

Dr. Paul has said that corona virus infection usually has only one mutation at a time, but in rare cases two strains can attack at the same time. If these two straininfect the same cell, they can also swap DNA and together form a new variant of the virus. Dr Paul warned that the increasing cases of delta and omicrons issued in the UK have added to its fears.

Addressing the Science and Technology Committee, Dr Paul said it could be 'certainly' that these two straines could swap genes and give rise to another dangerous variant. Researchers also say that this form of virus can also be detected under rare conditions. So far, only three corona straines made of gene swaps have been found. In most cases, the virus automatically mutes and creates a new variant.
