The GHMC commissioner informed the court that immersion of Ganesh idols made by POPs is impossible in 25 small ponds created in the GHMC area. Because those ponds are so small that only small idols can be immersed and the height of the idols in the city is very high. The commissioner requested the court to allow the authorities to immerse the idols from the dam side, so that the immersion can be completed by September 20, 2021.
The commissioner further assured the court that the Telangana government would take all possible measures to clean the idols and debris after the immersion of idols in lakes and plan logistics and infrastructure for immersion of Ganesh idols made by POPs in ponds. asked for enough time.
