New Delhi: The Supreme Court order on the Pegasus espionage case in India is yet to come. But in the meantime, some foreign organizations have demanded a thorough inquiry from the Government of India. 8 foreign organizations have demanded the Government of India to conduct an immediate, independent, and credible inquiry into the Pegasus espionage case. Organizations have said that the use of pegasus spyware violates the Supreme Court's privacy decision.

Access Now, International Commission of Jurists, Electronic Privacy Information Centre, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Pen America, Centre for Democracy and Technology, Civics, and Human Rights Watch have made this demand from the Government of India. Tell you that an international media association claims that more than 300 verified Indian mobile phone numbers were on the list of possible monitoring targets using Pegasus spyware. It also revealed the names of journalists, some leaders of the opposition-ruling party. Internationally, a list of 50,000 numbers allegedly monitored by Pegasus was released.

Pegasus is surveillance spyware from Israel's NSO Group Company, which it claims to sell only to authorized government agencies.
