Discontinuation of the currency of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 with the exchange of new currency of Rs 500 and Rs 2,000. Demonetization gave hard hit to all the sectors of the economy to some extents.

Sports car manufacturer are the one of the section, who have faced a challenge during demonetization, as sports car sales diminished. Whereas, 2016 was the fortune year for sports car makers, as demands increased with 20% than 2015.

Sharad Agarwal, head of Automobili Lamborghini India said, “Demonetisation was a big disruption, but the market bounced back quickly in the second half of December and was back to normal. At Lamborghini, we are already booked for 50% of our annual target of 2017. We are already sold out for the newly launched Aventador S. The double-digit growth momentum will continue this year too.”
