Bhilai: The city of Bhilai in Madhya Pradesh is once again facing the threat of dengue. Just as more than 50 people died of dengue in 2018, mostly children, this time the crisis is looming large in the city of Bhilai. Four dengue positive cases have been reported in the city at the beginning of the rainy season.

The treatment of these patients is going on in private and government hospitals. After receiving these patients, the health staff is appearing in alert mode. The Health District Health Department has issued an alert to hospitals across the district. On the other hand, the Durg CMHO Dr. Gambhir Singh has organized a workshop of all the doctors and specialists of the division at the district office to inform everyone about the dengue menace.

It may be mentioned that in 2018, more than 4000 people were tested for blood and 12 hundred were found to be positive dengue cases. More than 50 people died of dengue. Even after all this, the municipal administration and the district health department are still claiming to be vigilant. The District Health Department organized a workshop for prevention of dengue at the divisional level and instructed all the doctors in the district to provide special arrangements and treatment especially for dengue patients.
