Dense fog to cover Haryana, cold wave alert in several districts

Chandigarh: The Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in many districts of Haryana. Along with this, an alert has been issued for cold wave and severe cold day. This situation will continue till January 16. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for many districts, and a yellow alert for some. At the same time, after the rain in the first week of the month, the period of severe winter continues.

Even on Friday, the sun was seen hidden in the cover of mist and clouds. People longed for sunshine throughout the day. This situation has persisted in Haryana for the last three days and at present there is no hope of getting relief soon. Due to the lack of sunlight, the melting and chills have increased. People were seen shivering from the cold throughout the day. A drop in the maximum temperature has been recorded due to the onset of cold winds.

At the same time, an unclaimed person lost his life due to cold on Friday morning in Nehru Park of Bhiwani city. The police has done the post-mortem of the dead body in the civil hospital and kept it for identification. Hisar recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 4.3 degrees Celsius in the state. At the same time, Fatehabad had the coldest day.
