Mumbai: Ajit Pawar has temporarily termed properties worth over Rs 1000 crore linked to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar as false and baseless by the Income Tax Department in Maharashtra. In fact, he made a statement saying, "No property related to them has been attached by income tax nor have they received any departmental notice. However, the Income Tax Department has issued an order to seize 5 properties belonging to Ajit Pawar. These properties are said to be worth more than Rs.1000 crores. Let us also tell you that the Income Tax Department has come to know about more than 1000 crore transactions.

In fact, after the arrest of former State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, the Income Tax Department is now going to crack down on deputy CM Ajit Pawar. On the other hand, the Income Tax Department has issued a temporary notice for seizing 5 properties belonging to Ajit Pawar. The list includes 27 properties in Maharashtra, a rs 250 crore resort in Goa and a sugar mill worth Rs 600 crore. Not only that, it also includes some properties in Delhi. The properties are said to be worth more than Rs.1400 crores. On the other hand, the reports have been clarified by NCP (NCP) leader and deputy CM Ajit Pawar.

In fact, on his behalf, his lawyer Prashant Patil has categorically stated, "No property related to Ajit Pawar has been seized by the Income Tax Department nor has he received any notice in this regard. He also said, "Reports of attachment of properties belonging to pawar family are false and baseless. '
