DOHA: Emiliano Martinez, the goalkeeper for Argentina, acknowledged that he and his teammates experienced the complete spectrum of feelings before winning the 2022 World Cup on penalties.

Prior to two goals from Kylian Mbappe dynamiting the game and forcing extra time, Argentina had a 2-0 lead against France and appeared to be cruising to an easy victory.  Lionel Messi gave Argentina the lead once more in the 108th minute, but Mbappe's penalty in the 118th minute forced a shootout.

Before the shootout began, however, Martinez made a last-ditch effort to block Randal Kolo Muani from getting in on goal.

"We've endured a lot of pain. Although we believed we had them under control, they managed to reappear. It was a really difficult game. We were destined to suffer, "Martinez made reference to his last-ditch effort to save himself.
They had one more opportunity to win, but fortunately I was able to block it with my foot, he said.

Kingsley Coman was also stopped by the Golden Glove winner for best goalie at the World Cup during the decisive shootout, and when Aurelien Tchouameni missed his penalty, the celebrations were about to start.

"I am at a time that I have always wanted to experience yet am at a loss for words. I moved to England when I was very young, and I'd like to dedicate this triumph to my family "the man who plays for Aston Villa in his club football finished.
