New Delhi: This year's 'Dev Diwali' is being celebrated today on 18th November 2021. According to the Hindu calendar, Dev Diwali is celebrated every year on the full moon day of Kartik month. Dev Deepawali has started on Thursday and its auspicious beginning will continue till tomorrow. Grammy winner Pandit Vishwamohan will perform at the Ganga Festival on the occasion.

It is believed that gods and goddesses come to the earth on Diwali and celebrate Diwali. On the night of Dev Deepawali, thousands of people, locals and tourists equally arrive to see 'Ganga Aarti' on the bank of the river. Thousands of lamps are lit everywhere. Anuradha Paudwal, singer of devotional songs, will spread her voice at the cultural event. The festival will begin with a performance by Padma Bhushan and Grammy Awardee Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. At Dev Deepawali Mahotsav at Dashashwamedh Ghat, people will be administered the pledge of cleanliness through Aarti. This time the Devkanyas will perform the Mahaaarti of Dev Deepawali.

Ganga aarti is specially organized on this day in Varanasi. Dev Deepawali of Varanasi will be dedicated to the immortal brave warriors of India. On the occasion of Dev Deepawali, the message of making Ganga clean and clean, environment and water conservation will be conveyed. Tourists will capture the view of the city through air balloons. 120 committees will light 12 lakh lamps on the bank of the river.
