Pilgrimage priests of Chardham will celebrate 'Black Day'

Dehradun: In protest against the Chardham Devasthanam Management Board, the Chardham Teerth Purohit Hakhkukdhari Mahapanchayat has again announced a movement. On Tuesday, the pilgrim priests of the Chardham and the right-handers will surround the residences of the ministers present on the Yamuna Colony. Apart from this, 'Aakrosh Rally' will be taken out in Dehradun by celebrating 27th November as Black Day.

The meeting was held at Agrawal Dharamshala under the chairmanship of Suresh Semwal, Convener, Chardham TirthPurohit Hakhkukdhari Mahapanchayat. It was attended by officials belonging to Panchayat and Temple Committee belonging to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that on 27th November, the pilgrim priests of all the four religions will celebrate Black Day. On this day, an angry rally will be held from Gandhi Park to Secretariat to protest against Devasthanam Board in Dehradun. The Mahapanchayat decided to cordon off the residences of ministers in Yamuna Colony on November 23.

The Mahapanchayat spokesperson Dr Brijesh Sati said that on November 27, 2019, the government had passed a resolution to form Devasthanam Board from the cabinet. This day will be celebrated as a black day by the pilgrimage priests of the Chardham. A decision will be taken on the plan ahead for the movement by taking out an indignation rally in Dehradun.
