Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel claimed on Tuesday that the Chhattisgarh model, which aims to establish parity and economic equality, has outperformed the "Gujarat model" and is being discussed across the country, in a veiled dig at the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The chief minister spoke at a 'Run for CG Pride' event held to commemorate the state government's three-year anniversary on December 17. Over 20,000 people, including students, youngsters, professionals, and others, took part in Baghel's morning run from Raipur's Gandhi Udyan Chowk.

We are making rapid progress toward establishing the 'Nava Chhattisgarh' (new Chhattisgarh) that we have promised to establish. The Chhattisgarh model is now being discussed across the country, while the Gujarat model has fallen far behind with the state's development plan. "The Chhattisgarh model tries to achieve economic equity and parity," he remarked.

Chhattisgarh has won the cleanest state title for the past three years and received 67 prizes in the category this year, according to Baghel.

PM Narendra Modi, who served as the chief minister of Gujarat before becoming Prime Minister in 2014, had frequently mentioned the Gujarat model of growth. "In the previous three years, Chhattisgarh has established a distinct character in the country and around the world." The Chhattisgarh model is now being considered across the country," remarked the chief minister.
