Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray resigned ahead of the floor test late on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, a piece of big news is coming out that the Chief Minister of Maharashtra will be Eknath Shinde and not Devendra Fadnavis. And it has been announced by Devendra Fadnavis himself.

The same MLAs said that you get out of the alliance, otherwise, we will not be with you. We used to say earlier that this is a government full of contradictions. Such a government does not work. We used to say that when this government falls, we will give a permanent government. Eknath Shinde has staked claim to the Governor for the post of CM as the leader of Shiv Sena. The Bharatiya Janata Party gave him full support. Today we have handed over the letter of support to our 106 MLAs and MLAs of independent and small parties. The Governor has invited Eknath Shinde to take an oath. The same should be the oath of only Eknath Shinde Ji today.

Let us tell you that earlier it was being told that BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is going to take oath as CM today at 7.30 pm. Eknath Shinde will take oath as Deputy Chief Minister in the new government. However, now Devendra Fadnavis has announced that Eknath Shinde will be made the Chief Minister.
