Devika Rotawan: "She Was 9 When She Identified Kasab" is forced to live in this condition today

New Delhi: Devika Rotavan was injured in the Mumbai terror assault on November 26, 2008, and she identified terrorist Ajmal Kasab. Devika Rotavan last made headlines in August 2020 when she filed a petition with the Bombay High Court. The reason for this was that the Maharashtra government had promised them housing under the EWS plan. He stated that his entire family is experiencing financial difficulties. As a result, they had begged for certain home arrangements as well as for him to complete her studies.

Devika is a 22-year-old girl. She was just ten years old when the terrorist attacks of 26/11 occurred. Devika had travelled to Pune with her father and brother from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). Terrorists shot him in the leg in this location. With injuries, he was brought to St George's Hospital. Within two months, six surgical procedures were completed. She had to stay in bed for six months. She returned to court after her recovery and testified against terrorist Ajmal Kasab. In the Mumbai terror attack case, she was the youngest eyewitness.

The government had promised Devika a number of benefits at the time, but they were quickly forgotten. Devika stated in her plea to the High Court, "An assistance of Rs. I appreciate it, but the promises made to me have yet to be fulfilled.'
