Debutant actress Janhvi Kapoor is back in the city after completing the first schedule of her debut film Dhadak in Rajasthan. She has been regularly spotted outside her gym post her workout sessions. Talking about Dhadak, the film is the official remake of Marathi hit film Sairat and is directed by Shashank Khaitan. Janhvi is paired opposite Ishaan Khatter and the movie is slated to release on July 6, 2018.

Shashank earlier said, "The basic premise is of differences in caste, honor killing and what it means to survive in that world and I feel that is the conflict that is alive all across India, you will hear stories like that. So in that sense, the basic premise (of Dhadak and Sairat) is same. But there are variations. My story is based on another set up… It is (set) in Rajasthan. It comes with its own challenges, conflicts and style of a love story."

Talking about Dhadak as well as Ishaan and Janhvi, Karan told, "At Dharma (Productions), we believe very strongly in promoting new talent. A host of first time filmmakers, technicians and actors have begun their journey in the entertainment industry from the corridors of our company.
