Patna: A vigilance team in Bihar on Saturday raided the premises of Sanjay Kumar Rai, executive engineer of the Kishanganj division of the rural affairs department, in connection with a disproportionate assets case. According to the news received, this raid has been done at the locations in Kishanganj and Patna.  

It is being said that when the team reached Kishanganj to conduct a raid, it was found that this corrupt engineer keeps bribing money with his junior engineer and cashier. Subsequently, the investigation team raided these people as well. More than Rs 3 crore in cash and jewellery have been recovered from Kishanganj. At the same time, about Rs 1 crore cash has been found in the search of executive engineer Sanjay Kumar Rai's Patna residence. The investigation team has started matching the notes.

Let us tell you that earlier CBI and ED raids were conducted in Bihar. On Wednesday, the investigating agencies raided several places from Bihar to Jharkhand. These raids were conducted on the premises of 4 RJD leaders in the land-for-job case. Before the floor test in Bihar, the CBI team raided the residences of RJD treasurer and MLC Sunil Singh, former MLC Subodh Rai, Rajya Sabha MP Fayaz Ahmed and Rajya Sabha MP Ashfaq Karim.
