Dhanush's first International movie, the French - English flick The Extraordinary Journey of Fakir, directed by Ken Scott is all set to release in Tamil a year after its initial release. The film has already created a buzz in the international festival circuit and has left the critics and viewers mighty impressed. A Tamil version of the film, which is called Pakkiri, will also hit the screens in Tamil Nadu for his ardent fans.

The trailer of the film was released in a grand event organized in Mumbai. Dhanush and wife Aishwarya attended the event. Dhanush plays Ajatashatru Lavash Patel, a poor boy who grows up to be a street magician and is now on his way to Paris. The colorful trailer showcases the  journey of Rajakumaraguru Lakshmipathy (Dhanush) a small-time magician who sets out on a journey to Paris to meet his long lost father, and on the way he meets Marie to whom he's attracted, and as he encounters wild adventures, traveling on a wardrobe, a hot air balloon, a suitcase, we are given a glimpse of his fun-filled experiences in the trailer.

Apart from Dhanush, who seems to steal the show in almost every frame, the film also stars Berenice Bejo, Barkhad Abdi, Erin Moriarty, and Abel Jafri. Dhanush himself has dubbed in the Tamil version too, and after a great reception in International film festivals, Pakkiri releases in theaters worldwide on June 21.
