Hindi cinema veteran Dharmendra has shared a very interesting story with his film 'Aaye Din Bahaar Ke' and has revealed how he deliberately ate onion while shooting with Asha Parekh. Recently the actor has narrated this story in front of Asha Parekh himself.

Dharmendra shared an emotional post on Twitter, remembers his childhood

In the year 1966, Dharmendra and Asha Parekh were seen together in the film 'Aaye Din Bahar Ke' and remembering their story, Dharmendra has told that 'Every film of Asha ji was a super-duper hit at that time and hence I used to call her by the name of Jubilee Parekh.'

Dharmendra further said that 'We were shooting this film in Darjeeling and after the pack-up, the producers and crew members were partying till late night. I also went to that party and had a drink. Even in the morning, the smell of alcohol was so high that no one would recognize it. So to hide it, I ate onion while shooting. However, Asha Parekh later complained of onion smell. Dharmendra further said that when he told Asha Parekh the truth of his eating onions, she told me not to drink alcohol and at her behest, I stopped drinking alcohol and we became very good friends too. While Asha Parekh stated that it was freezing during the shooting, however, because Dharmendra had promised her and so he did not drink alcohol.
