Lucknow: Police have arrested Dhirendra Pratap Singh, the main accused in the Ballia bullet case. He was on the run for the last three days. According to the information received, the teams of STF lifted Dhirendra Singh, the main accused in the Ballia case from the possession of Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow this morning.
Apart from Dhirendra, two other accused Santosh Yadav and Amarjeet Yadav have been arrested. A reward of 50-50 thousand rupees was declared on both. Apart from the main accused Dhirendra Singh, a total of 10 (5 named, 5 others) accused have been arrested so far. According to the information, the team of STF will take the main accused Dhirendra Singh to Ballia and hand it over to the local police.
Earlier, the UP police had increased the reward declared on Dhirendra Singh, the main accused in the Ballia firing, to 50-50 thousand rupees. Till now only 7 were arrested out of 8 nominated and about 25 unknown accused. Only two of them are nominated. According to the police, action will be taken against the accused under the National Security Act (NSA) and the Gangster Act. 10 teams of UP police were engaged in a police search for the accused. Before Dhirendra Singh, only two named accused Devendra Pratap Singh and Narendra Pratap Singh were arrested.
