Dhirubhai Ambani was born on 28 December 1932 in Chorwad, Gujarat to the rich parents Hirachand Gordhanbhai Ambani and Jamnaben.

The acclaimed Indian businessman took his last breath on 6 July 2002 in the Breach Candy Hospital Trust located in Mumbai. 

Ambani got married to Kokilaben Ambani in the year 1955 and had four children namely Anil Ambani, Mukesh Ambani, Deepti Salgaocar and Nina Kothari.

Dhirubhai  Ambani was the owner of the largest exporter in the country who is known for various sectors apart from his contribution to the business. Reliance, the first privately owned company in the Fortune 500, is a massive petrochemical, electricity, communications, and textiles company.

Dhirubhai was a resident of Chorvad, a small village in Gujarat. The father of Dhirubhai worked as a teacher in a school. Dhirubhai's home was in dire financial straits. After that, he began working odd jobs as he worked toward finishing high school. Later, in 1949, when he was 17 years old and looking for work, he travelled to Yemen near his Ramniklal. where he formerly worked at a petrol pump.   On this, he used to get Rs. 300 per month as salary. The company liked his name very much and the company made him the manager of the filling station. After this he returned to India in 1954. Dhirubhai dreamed of becoming a big man in Yemen. When I came back home. After that he took Rs 500 and left for Mumbai.
