Dia Mirza, the lead actor of the web series "Kafir", says that "the theme of the series is very powerful and will make it a break for all the inhibitors." The actress further explained that "working on the show has been a personal journey privately."
In a recent PTI interaction, the lead actor of the web series, Dia Mirza, said that the Kashmir-based story was inspired by true events and it would be very interesting to know how the whole situation for women is and how they can get their freedom.
The "Kafir" is said to be based on the lives and struggles of a Pakistani woman and her daughter who cross the border into India and are taken prisoner in the meantime. While the actress said, "when I heard the story in a line from the producer of the show, Sidharth Malhotra, I immediately said ' you have to tell the story. While I read the script written by Bhawani Iyer, then I went on reading it and it was heartwarming to hear that How much humanity is loaded into the story. Let's say this web series will be released on June 15 on Zee5 "Kafir".
