RRR actor Ram Charan recently attended  Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards. The videos and photos of Ram Charan from the Award ceremony went viral. At the event, RRR won big at the  Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards 2023. The film went on to bag five top honors at the show. However, Jr. NTR’s absence from the event caught everyone’s eyes and they started speculating about the reason of NTR’s absence.

After this Hollywood Critics Association took to the social media and addressed the fans of RRR and reveals the reason of his absence from the ceremony. They wrote, "Dear RRR fans & supporters, We did invite N. T. Rama Rao Jr. to attend the #HCAFilmAwards but he is shooting a new film in India. He will be receiving his awards from us shortly. Thank you for all your love and support. Sincerely, The Hollywood Critics Association."

An NTR fan replied that the actor was not able to attend the event due to a personal loss and not for a movie shoot. The  Hollywood Critics Association wrote back, "He was originally shooting a movie which is why he couldn’t attend. His brother's passing happened afterward and is why he stepped away from the movie. This is what his publicist told us."

Speaking of RRR, it is a fictional story set in the 1920s pre-independent era. It is based on the lives of two real heroes and well-known revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. While Ram Charan played Ram, NTR was seen as Bheem. The film has grossed over Rs. 1200 crore worldwide during its theatrical run.
