These days, the price of crude oil is increasing. Meanwhile, on Wednesday no change has been found in the prices of petrol and diesel. The price of petrol had increased on Tuesday, while the price of diesel was seen to be stable. Yesterday was the third consecutive day when petrol became expensive.

Apart from this, petrol became expensive by 47 paise per litre in the capital of the country in these three days. According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai remains at Rs 80.90, Rs 82.43, Rs 87.58 and Rs 83.99 per litre respectively. With this, the price of diesel in the four metros remains constant at Rs 73.56, Rs 77.06, Rs 80.11 and Rs 78.86 per litre respectively.

On July 30, the Delhi government has decided to reduce VAT on diesel from 30 percent to 16.75 percent. The only reason is that the price of diesel has reduced compared to petrol. At the beginning of last month, diesel was costlier than petrol. If you remember, on the third trading day of the week, in the international market, crude oil was trading at low rates, but the benchmark crude Brent crude price was above $ 45 per barrel while WTI was above $ 42 per barrel.
