The case, which has come to light recently, is in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha where a case of balding of a couple has come to light in Mandua village of Karanjia block. According to reports, a group of locals allegedly roamed the streets to protest against the love relationship between a boy and a girl from two different communities. On June 22, the boy went to his house to meet his girlfriend and the villagers grabbed him in a room and presented him to the panchayat of Mandua village on Saturday night. According to the panchayat verdict, the villagers balded both the lovers and took them to the streets and the police rushed to the spot and rescued the two.

On the other hand, a case has been registered against 21 persons on the basis of a complaint lodged by the girl by the police in the case and strict action will be taken soon by detaining all the persons. This is not the first such case to have been reported before, which has been shocking.
