Renowned actor Dilip Joshi, who became famous in the house by playing the role of Jethalal in tv's famous comedy show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', is celebrating his birthday today i.e. on May 26. On this occasion, some interesting stories related to the real life of Jethalal.

Jethalal, i.e. Dilip Joshi, belongs to Gosa village, 10 km ahead of Porbandar in Gujarat. According to media reports, in an interview, Dilip Joshi had discussed about his struggle and said that he started working as a backstage artist. Here he used to get 50 rupees per character. No one gave them work at the time. There is a time when Dilip Joshi charges a fee of about 1.5 lakh rupees for an episode of playing his role Jethalal. He shoot for about 25 days in a month and according to this, he earn up to Rs 36 lakh every month from this show. He lives in Mumbai with his family. He started working in theatre at the age of 12. He got the first character of a statue. In an interview, he had said that he stood in that play only as a statue for seven-eight minutes. He has also received the Best Actor Award at the Indian National Theatre Awards twice.   

According to media reports, Dilip Joshi is also very fond of luxury cars. He owns an Audi Q7 car worth around Rs 80 lakh. Apart from this, he likes to drive the Toyota Innova MPV. If we talk about Dilip Joshi's film career, he has worked in 15 films like 'Hum Aapke Hai Koun', 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani', 'Humraj', 'Dil Hai Tumhara'.
